Allergie_Suse Leifers Heuschnupfen Routine

I have had allergies and hay fever for as long as I can remember. These nutrients help me.

My mother already had hay fever, and I suspect that she passed it on to me. In the past, when I didn’t know that much about nutrition and health, I was so bad at times with this exaggerated immune response that I could only leave the house wearing a respirator – a condition that no one would notice very much right now, but 15 years ago it was a real eye-opener.

I am allergic to all early and mid bloomers. As a result, my allergy season stretches throughout the spring and summer. Outdoor activities with my friends were therefore previously unthinkable for me without perhaps ending up in the emergency room at the end of the day with a bad asthma attack. It’s very different these days.

This is mainly because nowadays I support my body in a completely different way and understand its rules and needs. I finally get along great with my allergy without medication. Sometimes the nose still runs – but that’s it as an immune reaction.

My four best tips for allergy

With my natural measures, one point is particularly important: you absolutely have to start early enough, i.e. BEFORE the immune system has really picked up speed. Prevention is everything. Also in this area.

  • Avoid milk and dairy products if you have hay fever. Excess milk protein can irritate the immune system and keep it in a state of overreaction. Cow’s milk is the worst offender. I have been consuming only plant milk products for almost ten years and it has made a huge difference for my allergy.
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, peanuts, sugar, wheat, citrus fruits and chocolate, even if it’s hard. These are all allergy triggers that very very often worsen hay fever symptoms in the human system. It’s worth it!
  • Balance body, mind and spirit When you’re stressed, your immune system is easier to put on alert than when you’re relaxed. So you definitely need a balance. I practice yoga for it or walk around the Alster with a friend and my dog after the office. Find your method that works for you.
  • Regular nasal rinses with a warm saline solution. A dear friend of mine put me up to it. The absolute insider tip when the pollen really flies, because that flushes the pests out of the nose and soothes irritated mucous membranes. The device for this and the salt you get in any pharmacy

My supplement routine for hay fever

Almost all of our products at Ogaenics start with my own experience. My history with autoimmune diseases is unfortunately not limited to allergies and therefore it has always been a personal concern for us at Ogaenics to create support here in the form of supplements.

Hello Sunshine, the must-have for allergies

Our Hello Sunshine Vitamin D3 Complex has been one of the first products in the range. A lack of vitamin D is unfortunately widespread and, scientifically speaking, is one of the biggest factors in an excessive immune response, which can manifest itself precisely in hay fever.

Vitamin D thus contributes to a normal function of the immune system. And when we lack it, this tends to go crazy. If we have not been well enough supplied with vitamin D over a longer period of time in the winter months and the vitamin D stores are also finally depleted in the spring, our body is therefore more likely to get into an allergic state or be more susceptible to an allergy.

My vitamin D level has been checked regularly by a doctor since 2012, so I know how easily my body can get into a vitamin D deficit. I have therefore determined over many years with my physicians that my personal requirements are well above what is widely recommended (usually 1000 I.U. per day). Because the vitamin D requirement is something very individual. For example, my optimal vitamin D dose is 4,000 I.U. per day. Therefore, I take two capsules of Hello Sunshine Vitamin D3 daily in the morning – summer and winter – and since then I have no problems with hay fever or other diseases. I have my status checked regularly with my doctor.

So be sure to get a vitamin D test to determine your status – especially after winter. After all, a deficiency is not to be taken lightly. Besides the annoying allergy and other immune reactions, it can have quite other dire consequences. Ideally, you can test at a doctor’s office, in a lab, or you can buy a test kit at a pharmacy or online. However, it is important that you do the test regularly every few months thereafter and thus find out what your body actually needs, because seasons change and so often also the need.

Body Guard regulates the immune response

My daily supplement routine also includes our fantastic Body Guard Immunity Complex year-round due to my hay fever. I am so happy that we developed this gem for the immune system as one of the first products in 2016, because since then he has been my daily companion through the seasons and has made my life with hay fever almost completely forgotten.

Its secret to allergy is the strong beta-glucan containing Maitake mushrooms that keep my immune system in balance. Combined with 100% daily doses of vitamin C and zinc, both of which are natural antihistamines, Body Guard gets me through the season with almost no symptoms. By the way, the natural vitamin C in Body Guard does not come from citrus fruits, as these can aggravate hay fever, but from amla fruit, an Indian gooseberry.

I take one capsule daily. If there is a heavy pollen count, I increase the dose to two capsules in the morning for a few days so that my body can withstand this attack. Works great!

Adapto Genie regulates stress, the allergy trigger

I have a company, a husband, a child and a dog, and at the moment things are getting pretty busy for us. But because stress is absolutely poison for hay fever sufferers, I am currently also supporting my body with our Adapto Genie Balancing Complex.

When everyone is at the limit again, I am often surprised to see how calm I can remain in the chaos and am usually amazed myself. I owe it all to this fantastic product whose clinically effective botanicals reduce my body’s stress response, lower cortisol levels (#1 stress hormone), improve my feelings of stress and irritability, and even my sleep. Love it!

I hope my tips for allergy sufferers can help you get through hay fever season with a more moderate immune response. Also remember that adequate hydration and 7 hours of sleep a day are totally important for allergies. When you’re adequately hydrated and rested, your mucous membranes can do their job better and stop allergens before they get into your system. All the best for you!
