Organic curry leaf

Origin India | supplier of iron

The leaves of the curry tree have been used for thousands of years in India and the Far East as a spice in the preparation of dishes. Curry leaves (Murraya koenigii) have a long tradition in Ayurvedic medicine: they are believed to have antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic properties, among many other benefits.

What active ingredients do curry leaves contain?

Curry leaves naturally contain calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, copper and are an excellent source of plant iron. This plant-based iron is often better tolerated by a sensitive stomach than synthetic iron because, according to users, it often causes less irritation in the stomach and intestines due to the co-factors and co-nutrients contained in the plant. Among other functions, iron is essential for the transport of oxygen in the blood, as it forms an important component of haemoglobin.

Where do the curry leaves grow that are used for Ogaenics?

Our organic curry leaves grow in southeast India in the state of Tamil Nadu on a large organic plantation. Instead of using harmful chemicals, practices such as composting, crop rotation and intercropping are used to control weeds and pests as well as providing valuable nutrients to the soil. No synthetic fertilizers or pesticides are used. The curry leaves are harvested by hand all year round.

How is Ogaenics curry leaf extract being made?

The ripe harvested curry leaves are very gently extracted only using water, then filtered, concentrated and at the end spray-dried. The fine curry leaf extract is sieved again and carefully quality checked before being packaged.
