Organic black elderberry
Origin Ukraine | supplier of anthocyanins and flavonoids
Black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) is a plant native to Europe, North Africa and Asia and has been used for centuries as a remedy. Both the flowers and the berries are used medicinally.
What active ingredients does black elderberry contain?
The flowers are often used as a tea or extract to relieve cold symptoms such as cough, cold and fever. They can also be used to reduce inflammation and promote circulation.
On the other hand, we use the berries of elderberry in Ogaenics. These are rich in various nutrients, vitamins and minerals, such as potassium and vitamin C. In addition, they contain anthocyanins. These are the natural pigments in the berries that protect them from environmental influences. They have proven antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Flavonoids are also contained in the plant. These compounds have a variety of health-promoting properties, such as supporting the immune system.
Where does the black elderberry used for ogaenics grow?
Our black elderberry grows wild in the western part of Ukraine in controlled organic farming. The berries ripen in late summer or early fall, depending on the weather during the growing season. When the berries are fully ripe, they are carefully harvested by hand in early September.
How is Ogaenics organic elderberry powder made?
First, the berries receive a special heat treatment to remove the sambunigrin. This is a natural substance that black elderberry forms against predators. We wash, clean and free the berries from leaves and stems. Then we freeze-dry them gently to remove the water from the berries. They then grind it into a fine powder.
The result is a pure and healthy powder in organic quality that supports your health optimally.
