Organic ashwagandha
Origin India | supplier of ashwagandha
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a small, woody shrub about 60 cm tall which grows in India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. Its name originates from the horse-like smell of its root, because “Ashwa” means “horse” in Sanskrit.
Which active ingredients does ashwagandha contain?
Ashwagandha is considered to be an adaptogen in Ayurveda, which means it can help your body to better manage stress. The “queen of herbs” offers an impressively wide range of therapeutic benefits. Although the withanolide or alkaloid content is often highlighted, experts believe that the potency of ashwagandha is based primarily on its diverse multiple active ingredients.
Where does the ashwagandha grow that is used for Ogaenics?
Our premium ashwagandha is grown in Rajastan, India on a 600-acre farm which operates according to organic farming guidelines. After 7 months, when their leaves turn yellow, the contained withanolides are at the peak of their effectiveness and the plants are then harvested by hand.
How is Ogaenics ashwagandha extract produced?
We use the world’s leading organic Ashwagandha extract KSM-66, which contains the full-spectrum extract of the root of the Indian ashwagandha plant avoiding the typical use of milk as a pre-treatment. Therefore, unlike most other ashwagandha extracts on the market, it is vegan. It contains the highest level of withanolides in the world. But without the controversial type withanolide A, which is only found in the leaves of the plant. Due to a “green” extraction process avoiding alcohol and chemical solvents, it is absolutely free of toxic extraction residues. KSM-66 has proven its potency and positive effects on the human body in 22 scientific studies.
